The Foodie Chain aims to give you healthy, easy and quick recipes that will nourish your body. I aim to use gluten free, dairy free & refined sugar free ingredients as often as possible.
I am a competitive cyclist who lives in Canberra, Australia. In 2010, I was unable to ride competitively after being diagnosed with chronic fatigue, after have a major cycling crash. My life was turned upside down when I was told I was intolerant to gluten and dairy. I not only had to change my diet but it became a lifestyle change, as food preparation became a vital part of my daily routine. I was skeptical at first as to whether this diet was going to help or hinder my recovery. I can safely say that it helped immensely and I greatly enjoy the new food options I discover everyday. This change in my diet forced me to understand the science behind food and how it affects our bodies. I have since returned to competitive cycling and am back to full heath. I work as a registered nurse and am also studying Nutrition at University to further develop my knowledge and understanding of food.
I have created this website to help those who know how difficult it can be to find food options for their intolerances, for those who just want to eat healthy food and those who just love food!
