Ingredientsspaghetti Bolognese

  • 500g mince
  • 1 onion
  • coconut oil (or olive oil)
  • 2 cans chopped tomatoes (or fresh)
  • 1 tub tomato paste
  • 1 1/2 cup mushrooms
  • 1 carrot (add any vegetable you desire)
  • handful basil
  • 2 tbsp dried italian herbs
  • salt & pepper

Directions

  1. Heat oil in a pan over high heat
  2. Cook until golden brown
  3. Add mince, herbs, salt & pepper and cook until mince is browned
  4. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, mushrooms, carrot & fresh basil & stir
  5. Turn down to medium heat & let simmer for approx 15 minutes until sauce has thickened
  6. While the mince is cooking, cook pasta, quinoa, rice or sweet potato to go with the bolognese
