Ingredientscrumbed tofu

  • 1 packet firm tofu chopped into cubes
  • gluten free flour
  • 2 eggs (flax-eggs for vegan)
  • gluten free rice crumbs or almond meal
  • 2 tsp Chinese 5 spice*
  • salt & pepper
  • 3 tbsp coconut oil


  1. In a small bowl add the gluten free flour
  2. In another, add the 2 eggs and whisk with a fork
  3. In another, add rice crumbs, spices & salt & pepper
  4. Roll the cubes of tofu in the flour, then egg and then the crumbs
  5. Heat coconut oil in a pan over high heat and add tofu
  6. Cook tofu on each side until browned
  7. Remove and enjoy

* You can also use a mixture of cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamon and salt & pepper
