Ingredientsalmond slice

  • ALMOND LAYER
  • 2 cups almond butter
  • 1 cup coconut oil
  • 1 cup sweetener (I use rice malt syrup)
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 cup almonds chopped
  • 2 cups almond meal
  • Pinch of salt
  • CHOCOLATE LAYER
  • 1 cup cacao
  • 1 cup coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup sweetener (rice malt syrup)
  • Pinch of salt

Directions

  1. In a saucepan, over medium heat almond butter, combine coconut oil, rice malt syrup, vanilla and pinch of salt
  2. Stir constantly until combined
  3. Add almond meal and chopped almonds and mix in
  4. Pour into lined dish and place in freezer while you make the chocolate layer
  5. Melt the coconut oil and mix all ingredients together until combined
  6. Pour over almond mixture and freeze for approx 1 hour or until hardened
